Fleberg Studios
From a 25 square metre dance floor on Södermalm to Fleberg Studios on Kungsholms strand, where dance is medicine!
Matilda buys her first studio space, a small cozy industrial space on Södermalm. It is her headquarters: the place where she creates her pieces, builds her business and grows her network. A room for her own work, and for no one else.
But Matilda has always been a teacher, and a room like that is hard to keep to yourself. Soon she begins teaching small group classes there. Stockholm already has plenty of studios, so she wants to offer something different: dance training that is personal, customized and, above all, joyful.
The room measures 25 square metres and holds ten people at most, or rather squeezes them in. The first classes are small, a few friends and old students sharing the floor.
A class like that gets talked about. People speak of the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, the quality of the training and the joy they leave with. Before long, every class is full.
Suddenly there are people of every level and every age, with every kind of goal, dancing side by side in a space barely big enough for them. Something is starting in that little room. This is the beginning of what Fleberg Studios is today.
Dance does not stay inside the studio. Fleberg Studios takes it out into the city: onto the streets, into everyday places and out in the snow.

Fleberg Studios is a bright waterside studio on Kungsholms strand, with daily classes for every level and age, and room for everything from private classes to company workshops and events. The idea is the same as in the first small room: dance training that is personal, customized and joyful, where dance is medicine.
